Ron Ben-Meir, DO, FAAPMR, is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician specializing in treating sports-related injuries in patients of all ages and experience levels, including competitive athletes and weekend warriors. Dr. Ben-Meir has been practicing in New Jersey and New York City for over 10 years, treating general musculoskeletal pain that includes neck pain, back pain, and joint. As a former Division 1 college football player at Texas State University, Dr. Ben-Meir has personal experience with the sports injuries he currently treats. After finishing his undergraduate education, Dr. Ben-Meir earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro University in Vallejo, California. Dr. Ben-Meir completed his residency at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and continued to complete a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan, New York. This combination of hands-on experience and training from these prestigious institutions gives Dr. Ben-Meir the knowledge and expertise to provide comprehensive and conservative care for musculoskeletal pain and sports injuries, as well as acute and chronic pain. Dr. Ben-Meir’s patients receive highly individualized care plans from a conservative approach such as physical therapy, medical marijuana, yoga, and acupuncture to ultrasound guided injections and fluoroscopy-guided interventional spine injections. Dr. Ben-Meir also specializes in nonsurgical approaches to pain management. He performs advanced diagnostic procedures like musculoskeletal ultrasound and electromyography (EMG/NCS).
