The Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at CarePoint Health-Bayonne Medical Center follows our institutional’ s commitment to foster diverse and inclusive environments that support personal and professional growth. Our hospital system gives you experience with multiple care environments and patients from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Education is the major goal of our residency program. Our curriculum enables you to participate in a variety of conferences that complement the hands-on training you undertake in our rotations. There is protected didactic time from 7:00-8:00AM (Morning Report) and 11:45-12:45PM (Afternoon Lecture) M-F. Didactics are scheduled on a monthly basis and provided by subspecialists to facilitate structured approach to reading and board preparation. Primary focus of the curriculum is to prepare residents for ABIM boards and to equip them to be mature and confident clinicians. All lectures are presented in person and virtually.
Our residency program fulfills all American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)/Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements, ensuring you get nationally competitive training in internal medicine.
