For Incoming Residents

All incoming residents should complete the following steps:

  1. Sign your contract
  2. Apply for an NPI number: Deadline April 12
  3. Send in Human Resources documents: Deadline May 15
  4. Complete your physical by: Deadline June 1st
  5. Have current ACLS/BLS/PALS prior to start of training on July 1st
  6. Attend Orientation-last two weeks of June

As a new resident or fellow, you will participate in a two-week orientation prior to beginning in the program on July 1. This will help you adjust to residency life and provide you with an overview of programs, topics and required information. Non-patient care/medical knowledge curriculum topics are covered as well, including interpersonal communication skills, professionalism, systems-based practice and practice-based learning and improvements.
