Natasha Deckmann, MD, serves as the Chief Executive Officer for CarePoint Health, leading the health care system that includes three Hudson County hospitals—Bayonne Medical Center, Christ Hospital in Jersey City, and Hoboken University Medical Center, as well as a physician medical group of over 300 doctors in a wide range of specialties. Natasha is responsible for CarePoint’s nearly 4,500 employees who proudly deliver the highest level of health care to the area’s diverse population.
Natasha brings to CarePoint her extensive clinical and population health management leadership skills, private equity advisory and operating experience, as well as expertise in strategy, operations and change management.
Prior to joining CarePoint, Natasha held leadership positions for the past several years at Optum, a pre-eminent health services and innovation company. Her tenure with Optum included serving as the head of Population Health Solutions at Optum Health, managing over $2 billion in revenue and driving innovative solutions to population health challenges. She also served as Chief Operating Officer of Consumer Solutions Group (CSG) at Optum, driving key operational and strategic initiatives, managing the overall CSG portfolio, product development and infrastructure, corporate functions, overseeing M&A activities and leading CSG capabilities including Healthcare Analytics, Reporting, Network Strategy, and Business Transformation.
Natasha also has a depth of operational and strategic experience as a transformational leader across both the insurance and health care industries. Prior to her tenure at Optum, she held a number of senior leadership roles at Marsh Inc., including Chief Operating Officer of the International Division. Natasha joined Marsh from Oliver Wyman, where she led strategic consulting engagements for clients across the entire health care industry, including the U.S. government.
Natasha was recently appointed to the board of Women’s Health USA (WHUSA), the largest physician practice management company dedicated to women’s health, serving more than 350 physicians across the U.S. WHUSA supports women’s health practices (large OB-GYN, specialty women’s health practices, single practices/smaller groups) with comprehensive services that streamline business operations.
Natasha earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Doctorate of Medicine from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
