Kirat Kharode is a seasoned a health care operations and strategy executive with a strong track record of revenue growth and innovation. Prior to joining CarePoint Health, Mr. Kharode led the development of an ambulatory network in Hudson County for several years and held a number of leadership positions at Tenet Healthcare Corporation, a health care services company with $11 billion dollars in annual revenue. Prior to Tenet, he was part of the leadership team at the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Abramson Cancer Center, where he was awarded its distinguished “Operations Excellence Award.” Mr. Kharode began his career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare System in Pittsburgh, where he led the development of the VA’s first independent liver and kidney transplant program in the U.S. During that same year, he received the VA’s prestigious “Gold Award for Excellence in Government Service.”
A native of New Jersey, Mr. Kharode earned bachelor’s degrees in Life Sciences and Health Policy Administration from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA. He received a master’s degree in Healthcare Management from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has a Juris Doctor from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in PA. In 2014, Mr. Kharode was awarded the American College of Healthcare Executive’s Regent Award for the state of New Jersey, and in 2012, he was named to Becker’s Hospital Reviews “Rising Stars under age 40.” Mr. Kharode is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and has mentored a number of early careerists pursuing careers in health care management.
