How to Apply – Residents and Fellows


Thank you for your interest in the Graduate Medical Education department at CarePoint. Our Medical Education program is committed to training the future of medicine.


Applications should be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Please refer to the ERAS website for the complete details and timelines. Due to the high volume of applicants, we are not able to answer questions over the phone or via emails

General Guidelines are below:


Complete details and timelines are available on the ERAS website. Applications for most residency programs can be submitted beginning September 1st. Please check with the individual residency or fellowship program for the initial and final dates of submission.


We do not sponsor applicants for J1 or H1B Visa.


As we consider each application in its entirety, there are no absolute cutoff dates for USMLE/ (COMLEX) results or graduation.


United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE)/ Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) first-time pass is preferred. Still, we preferentially review those applicants with scores over 220 and who have graduated medical school in the last 5 years. U.S. clinical experience is preferred but not required.

We require the following information:


  • Completed ERAS Application including:
  • Medical School Transcript
    Medical Student Performance Evaluation (Dean’s letter) or its equivalent
  • Letters of recommendation (3)
  • USMLE /COMLEX transcript(s)
  • ECFMG Status Report, if applicable
  • Personal Statement
  • Citizenship, Visa type
