A member of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Faraz is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He is certified in advanced cardiac life support and trauma life support.
He earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College of Karachi University in Pakistan before interning in general surgery at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence. Dr. Faraz completed a residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit Medical Center, before serving as chief medical resident. He continued his training as a cardiology fellow at the Detroit Medical Center, where he became the chief interventional cardiology fellow.
Fluent in English and Urdu, he has been awarded for his research, patient care and excellence in teaching.
